Child Care Floating Teacher - Part Time

Summary We are looking for an enthusiastic child care teacher to join our team. This position is responsible for covering classrooms of all age ages (6 weeks through 11 years) during staff breaks as well as being an extra teacher. This hours for this position are 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, but that can be adjusted slightly if necessary. Hours can range from 25-30 hours per week with the opportunity to become full time in the future if desired. Applicants should have a passion for working with children and be able to provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Duties Responsibilities include actively supervising play time, meal time, and nap time. Staff are also responsible for helping children with their daily needs, including diapering, toilet training, and toileting, handwashing, and maintaining cleanliness. Staff must be able to clearly communicate with other staff members, parents/guardians, and children of all ages. Light cleaning duties are also required. Requirements -must be at least 18 years of age (unless enrolled in an ECE vocational program)-must have a high school diploma or GED, or be enrolled in the 2nd year of an ECE vocational program-must successfully pass a state BCI and federal FBI child care background check-must obtain a child care staff member physical from a medical provider-must be able to bend, get down on the floor, and lift up to 40 pounds-must be willing to complete state and employer required trainings annually Nice To Haves -experience working in a group child care setting-ECE training or certifications Benefits -child care discount-vacation time-training provided or reimbursed-day shift
