Engineering / R&D at NutanixThe Senior Director of Engineering would be a part of the Engineering team at Nutanix. This team consists of highly skilled software engineers with diverse skill sets, working together to develop and deliver high quality software releases. The team is focused on driving product direction and strategy by collaborating with product managers, solution architects, sales engineers, and customers. The Director will also be responsible for team building, ensuring that the engineers and managers are happy, motivated, and engaged. Overall, the team is dedicated to building a modern software-defined hybrid multi-cloud data store and constantly challenging themselves to simplify complex systems.Your RoleBuild and lead a high-performing team of engineersImplement and refine engineering and release management processesDrive development of high-quality software releasesInfluence product direction and strategyCollaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsOwn and deliver large projects end-to-endApply solid technical skills in enterprise File System or Storage software developmentRecruit and mentor technical talentWhat You Will BringStrong leadership and team building skillsExperience in software release managementAbility to drive product direction and strategyExcellent collaboration and communication skillsStrong planning and execution abilitiesTechnical expertise in enterprise File System or Storage software developmentFamiliarity with virtualization and distributed data managementProficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, GoLang, C/C++, Java) The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 352,000 and USD $ 528,000 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
