Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM FLSA Status: Exempt PRIMARY PURPOSE: Housby is looking for a dynamic leader to supervise and manage our night shift Service Team! This position is responsible for dispatching work to technicians, along with communicating with customers regarding vehicle repairs and overall service times. EXPECTATIONS: Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Schedule and assign jobs to Technicians according to their skills and knowledge to promote quality, efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Help the department maintain a 95% or better technician efficiency. Upsell any additional repairs encountered before repairs are completed. Follow the status of work to ensure timely completion. Update customers regularly, or in the instance of any changes in the repair, based on their preferred method of communication. Follow up on assigned jobs by taking shop walks to ensure technicians are proceeding as planned and involve the Assistant Service Manager or Service Manager when issues arise. Gather the following information from customers: unit number, payment method, timeline for repairs, preferred contact method, and complaint or condition of vehicle. Open repair orders. Search for open recalls, campaigns, warranty, and possible related service bulletins for technicians before repairs begin. Look at previous repair history for recent related repairs. Contact customers regarding previously ordered parts/repairs to schedule further repairs as needed. Explain finished repairs to customers. Write and provide accurate estimates of time and cost to customer. Story work orders with repairs made for customer viewing. Audit work orders prior to customer billing. Answer incoming phone calls. Maintain and create good customer and internal relationships. Maintain a professional image at all times. Expected to follow the Company's safety rules and safety policies. Assist with picking up and delivering customers trucks when necessary. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE : Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Basic understanding of mechanical components and associated repairs. Ability to read, write, speak, and type effectively in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure. Valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Previous Microsoft Office experience. Must follow and have Housby's Core Values. EDUCATION : High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates or bachelor's degree preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Oral communication over the phone and in person. Ability to view a computer monitor. Sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Alpha/numeric keyboarding. WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical, vibrations, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Exposed to some outside weather conditions. Some evening hours and weekends may be required.
