Come be a part of our Stanford Neurobiology study on fear, anxiety and therapeutic interventions with our new Virtual Reality technology. We are looking to better understand the biomarkers of anxious emotional states and test the effectiveness of non-invasive relaxation techniques to help shift negative states. Participants must be 18 or older, not pregnant, can see a computer screen without glasses (contacts OK) and able to spend approximately 2 hours @Stanford University. The risks associated with this study are potential motion sickness, eye fatigue from the virtual reality display, or increased distress or anxiety resulting from the virtual experiences. The benefits which may reasonably be expected to result from this study are discovery of a treatment that is easy to implement and useful to alleviate emotional disturbances.
